Other Notes: Takes place before Sakura graduates from the academy. One-sided Sakura/Sasuke. I like the fic but I don't feel that the title and the summary fit. Oh well, at least I tried.


A group of girls walk along the path chatting with each other. They walk right past without noticing her. But it’s okay because Sakura’s used to being ignored.

She feels a pang of sadness and nostalgia though as she remembers how she talked with Ino similarly but she soon brushes that away. She has more important things to think about like studying and getting Sasuke.

It’s been rough of course, but she has to do what she has to do. If she wants Sasuke, some sacrifices must be made.

She’s lost her best friend over him and maybe even a bit of her sanity. So she can’t fail.

And she can’t ever let herself think that she’s made a mistake.
